Pablo de Sarasate (March 10, 1844 – September 20, 1908, was a Spanish violinist and composer of the Romantic period.
From 1859 concert tours made him famous all over the world, his playing being distinguished by beautiful tone and a superb technique.
Among the many composers who dedicated works to him were Bruch, Saint-Saëns, and Dvořák.
He wrote scores of brilliant virtuoso works himself, including Zigeunerweisen.
